Why has it gota end up like this everytime? Things arent as complicated as you may think. Cant you just hear me out before commenting on it? Why cant you control your temper? All you do is to scream and yell as if i did something wrong. Tell me when can we really sit down and talk, tell me when can we stop quarelling. I admit i dont have a good temper, but at least im not as worse as you. IM TIRED..GIVE ME A BREAK!!

Work!

ADDRESSING BOREDOM AND UNHAPPINESS AT WORK.

Getting a job is always a prerogative of most adults. A job would mean that a source of income is available which can support the basic necessities of an individual and his lifestyle. A job eventually becomes a career when a person becomes proficient in a specific industry.

Promotion is always a target as employees aim not only to have better job responsibilities but also receive better financial compensation. To improve in one’s career, it is important to work hard and be dedicated at work.

As much as you wanted to improve in your career, there are moments that your work right now may not be as attractive as it looks. You may receive a good amount of compensation but you are bored and unhappy at work. Everyday just seem to drag on forever.

Some would say that you do not have to deal with unhappiness and boredom since you are still being paid. But you have to deal with this fact more than ever since you have to deal with it for more than eight hours, five day a week. If you do not deal with boredom and unhappiness, soon you will be really stressed out that you are unable to do anything at all.
There are employees who opted to leave work at a single sign of boredom. This should not be your trend. Before you look at the classifieds and online job search websites, consider looking at the reasons why you are bored and unhappy at work.

One of the most prevalent reasons why employees get bored at work is the monotony of responsibilities. There are actually two ways to combat monotony at work. First is to leave the department. This request is actually easier than it looks.

Companies value the honesty of their employees and if there is any possible transfer, they will accommodate the request. The second strategy in dealing with monotony is to improve your output. No matter how monotonous your job is, there will always be a way to deal with monotony. You just have to be creative to deal with this problem.

Another reason why people get so unhappy at work is pressure. Most employees today are faced with pressure everyday because of the increasing demands of every business. But some employees are not really built to face pressure even with their expertise.

If you think you are one of those who cannot handle the pressure anymore, do not quit yet. You have to dig deeper to the reason why you cannot handle the pressure. The reason might be simple time management or increased focus. You might just need a week’s vacation or two.

When all else fails, maybe it is really time to quit your job. But quitting and looking for work is not that easy. Before you leave work, make sure you know which way to go. Pressure and monotony should be handled with all available options before you decide to leave work. You career is on the edge because of your perception of your job is not good but you have to be stronger if you want to improve in your career and face all .

HOW TO HANDLE OFFICE POLITICS.

Office politics exist. From the first day of your career to the last day in your office before you retire, office politics will affect you. Your performance at work, your relationship with your peers and even the future of the company could be determined by office politics.

Employees will always have to deal with this since it will mold their career and running away from office politics may be good for now but it will never make you stand out which is bad for your career. Office politics should be taken head on with the right strategy so that it could be used for career advancement.

Your ability to handle office politics will practically make or break your career. There are people who will experience pressure because of office politics. Some would crack at pressure which is usually career-ending while others have been virtually flawless in handling pressure.

Aside from pressure, politics might even make you a subject for discrimination – it’s not race or belief but because you are on the “other side” which means you are part of another group in the office. These are just simple scenarios that you should deal with in office politics. You have to know how to deal with them just to survive.

Specific Actions in Handling Office Politics

Speak Last – Office politics can be very nasty especially with the bickering. Hold your tongue until everyone has spoken. It’s often very tempting to fight back with words but the sooner you react, the faster you lose.

Even if you tend to be on the right side, you have to listen to everyone to make sure you’ll be speaking the right words. You can show your leadership ability by being able to wrap things up and prevent another word war from brewing.

• Always Think Before You Act – You have to make sure that you are aware of your actions and you have thought about it before doing it. The key word here is “always” – that means you should never let anything slip.

Disaster in office politics will only need one slip. Everything that you have done to prevent this type of disaster from happening will just go to drain. It is very challenging that you should be aware of your actions and make it right the entire time but that’s the best way to deal with politics and emerge as the leader.

• Absolutely No Favorites – Even though one party is correct, you just can’t go to them and tell the other group that they are wrong and should be penalized. You have to stand in the middle and let them talk to each other.

A leader should only be standing in the middle as everyone will try to sort things out on their own. If you go with one side, you are alienating other key members of the company. Make it a point to listen to everyone and speak last.

Office politics exists and you can’t run away from it. Face it without hesitation and use it to show your leadership skills to be rewarded with promotion.
